DAY 01: ARRIVAL YANGON – HALF-DAY CITY SIGHTSEEING [-/-/D]
Our tour guide will meet you up at Yangon International Airport and transfer to the hotel in Yangon. Visit the National Museum (closed on Mondays & holidays) where you can explore the history and culture of Myanmar. Then visit Bogyoke (Scott) Market (closed Mondays & holidays) which displays a huge collection of Myanmar handicraft and souvenir. Proceed to the Shwedagon in the evening to enjoy the sunset and explore the unique culture, and traditions of the local people. Then enjoy delicious dinner at Myanmar Plaza. Overnight at the hotel in Yangon.
DAY 02: YANGON – FULL-DAY CITY SIGHTSEEING [B/-/-]
After breakfast at the hotel, you will start a full day city sightseeing tour with our local guide. Drive out from the hotel for 20 minutes to visit the National Races Village where you can explore traditional and cultural exhibits of the 8 major ethnic groups of Myanmar namely Kachin, Kayah, Karen, Chin, Bamar. Mon, Rakhine, and Shan, etc. Then drive back through the downtown Yangon surrounded by the Colonial Style old buildings. Continue visit to the Great lake Natural Park and Zoological Gardens where you can relax for a couple of hours and enjoy your lunch here. Proceed to the Junction City in the downtown and shopping for awhile. Then, you will join the Yangon Sunset River Cruise and discover the primitive beauty along the banks as the sun gently sinks below the horizon of Yangon. Transfer back to the hotel and overnight at the hotel in Yangon.
DAY 03: YANGON – BAGO – GOLDEN ROCK [B/-/-]
Check out of the hotel after breakfast, and make your way to Golden Rock (Kyaikhtiyoe). Proceed to Bago where you can see the ancient capital of Mon Kingdom in the 15th century. Visit Shwethalyaung Reclining Buddha, Myo Ma Local Market, Chinese Kwanyin Temple, and Kanbawzathardi Palace of King Bayinnaung. Then continue the journey to the Kin Mon base camp of Golden Rock. The Golden Rock (Kyaiktiyo) Pagoda is the third most important Buddhist pilgrimage site in Myanmar after Shwedagon & Mahamuni Pagodas. Visit the ‘hermit hill’ or ‘Ya-Thay-Taung’ located at the mid-way point from the mountaintop. For rest of the way up, you can continue taking a one hour trek to reach the top. At top of the mountain, you will see the Golden Rock pagoda and find out why it is famous for its gravity-defying golden rock that hangs over the edge of the cliff. Enjoy the par anomic views of surrounding areas and the extraordinary view of the golden rock at sunset. The Golden Rock is the most beautiful in the evening when it’s illuminated by the warm colors of the setting sun. Enjoy lunch and dinner on own account at a local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel near the Golden Rock.
DAY 04: GOLDEN ROCK (KYAIKTIYO) – MAWLAMYAING [B/-/-]
After breakfast drives out from the hotel for 3 hours to Mawlamyine, once a major port and the administrative capital of British lower Burma. Then visit the historic First Baptist Church, constructed in 1827 by Adoniram Judson, an American missionary who spent nearly 40 years in Myanmar in the early nineteenth century. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit Win Sein Tawya, the largest reclining Buddha in the world. Continue to Thanphyuzayat War Cemetery related to a Death Railway/ The Burma-Siam railway, built by Commonwealth, Dutch and American prisoners during the World War II. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant with watch amazing sunset at Mawlamyine viewpoint. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Mawlamyine.
DAY 05: MAWLAMYAING – HPA-AN [B/-/-]
After breakfast, drive out from the hotel for 4 hours trip to Hpa-An. Continuously visit the peaceful Kan Thar Yar Lake with crystal water that makes you feel refreshed and vigorous. Enjoy lunch a local restaurant in Hpa- An. After lunch proceeds to Sadder Cave about 20 km from Hpa An center where you can see various stalagmites, stalactites, and other cave structures. Then visit Bat Cave, which is the home of an endless stream of over 100,000s of bats that give adventurous visitors immense satisfaction. You should be there before sunset (at 5-5:30 p.m.) to enjoy with a stunning view of the Romantic River and picturesque countryside. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant and Overnight stay at the hotel in Hpa An.
DAY 06: HPAAN – KYAUK KALAP – ZWEGABIN MOUNTAIN [B/L/-]
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel. Visit Hpa An Morning Market where you can buy souvenirs, traditional Karen fabrics with the much cheaper price compared with any other souvenir shop in town. Then visit Kayin State cultural museum. Proceed to Kyauk Kalap, the water garden, where you can see uniquely spectacular compound with a small pagoda stood unbelievably still on top of a large rock formation, next to a monastery in the middle of the lake. Enjoy free vegetarian food served at the monastery with great views of the surrounding countryside. After lunch, it is convenient to visit the Mount Zwegabin nearby which is considered one of the most sacred mountains in the country and located about 10 km from Hpa An center. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant and Overnight stay at the hotel in Hpa An.
DAY 07: HPAAN – YANGON [B/-/-]
Check out of the hotel after you enjoy a breakfast & make your way to Yangon. Along the way, you can visit Bayinnyi Cave which is home to an intricate temple with plenty of beautiful colored buildings laid out a the foot of sheer limestone cliffs with a natural hot spring. Enjoy your lunch at Bago. Afterward, you will be transferred to the Yangon International Airport for departure. Enjoy your free time until your international flight departure back home. Hope your tour ends with happy memories!!!
