BEACH DESTINATIONS

Chaung Tha Beach: Chaung Tha lies on the Bays of Bengal coast about six hours drive in the west of Yangon. It is one of the main beach resorts that you can find the largest number of people on the holidays. The beach typically curves inwards and long by about 1.5 kilometers. It is naturally beautiful with silver sands, pristine green sea, flanked by palm trees. Visitors can enjoy sightseeing the livelihood of the local people in nearby villages and the visit to White Sand Island, and Twin Rocks. There are classic beach activities such as horse riding, bicycling and inflatable rings and surfing in the sea. The busiest area is towards the south end of the beach, where one can find various guesthouses, souvenir shops, and café.

Ngapali Beach: Ngapali is situated on the Bay of Bengal coast in Rakhine State is the most attractive beach destination of Myanmar. Ngapali is accessible by flight which takes 45 minutes from Yangon and about 14 hours by car. The Thandwe Airport, which is only 6 km far from Ngapali Beach, has daily flights from Yangon and Heho with domestic airlines. It typically has the main features of beautiful white sand beaches stretches on the Bay of Bengal and palm tree-lined the coast. Many visitors always spend their time relaxing and enjoying the sun. However, some enjoy shopping at the local markets, cycling nearby the villages and a boat trips to the offshore islands. The best time to visit is from October to May.

Ngwe Saung Beach: Ngwe Saung lies on the Bays of Bengal coast located about 30 miles west of Yangon. It is one of the most pleasant beach resorts in Myanmar for a beach getaway. Ngwe Saung is newer than nearby Chaungtha Beach and is established to attract visitors with larger holiday budgets. The visitors tend to prefer Ngwe Saung for its naturally finer and clearer sand, with deeper water and palm-fringed beach. The beach stretches for several miles and Ngwe Saung village can be found towards the northern end of the beach. Ngwe Saung Beach is famous for its unique natural attractions of the clear blue-white-crested waves, silvery sand beaches, the scenic and the occasionally rocky shoreline, and the fresh surroundings of tropical rainforests backdrop. Visitors can enjoy sightseeing visit to a fishing village a few kilometers where the send ends, an elephant camp at Padaung Village on the road to Pathein, and Lovers Island where you can bet nice views over the sea on the other side. The best time to visit is from November to March.
