DAY 01: ARRIVAL YANGON – HALF-DAY CITY SIGHTSEEING [-/-/D]
Our tour guide will meet you up at Yangon International Airport and transfer to the hotel in Yangon. The National Museum (closed on Mondays & holidays) where you can explore the history and culture of Myanmar. Then visit Scott/Bogyoke Market (closed Mondays & holidays) which displays a huge collection of Myanmar handicraft and souvenir. Proceed to the Shwedagon in the evening to enjoy the sunset and explore the unique culture, and traditions of the local people. Then enjoy a delicious dinner at Myanmar Plaza. Overnight at the hotel in Yangon.
DAY 02: YANGON – FULL-DAY CITY SIGHTSEEING [B/-/-]
After breakfast, you will start a full day city sightseeing tour with our local guide. Drive out from the hotel for 20 minutes to visit the National Races Village where you can explore traditional and cultural exhibits of the 8 major ethnic groups of Myanmar namely Kachin, Kayah, Karen, Chin, Bamar. Mon, Rakhine, and Shan, etc. Then drive back through the downtown Yangon surrounded by the Colonial Style old buildings. Continue visit to the Great lake Natural Park and Zoological Gardens where you can relax for a couple of hours and enjoy your lunch here. Proceed to the Junction City in the downtown and shopping for a while. Then, you will join the Yangon Sunset River Cruise and discover the primitive beauty along the banks as the sun gently sinks below the horizon of Yangon. Transfer back to the hotel and overnight at the hotel in Yangon.
DAY 03: YANGON – KALAW [B/-/-]
You will be picked up at the HeHo airport and transfer to the Kalaw Hotel (Famous Hotel Kalaw or similar). Free leisure day at Kalaw City. Then, continue to visit Kalaw, a former British Hill station where the British legacy can be seen. After Lunch at local restaurant, visit a historic Christ the King Church, and Thein Taung Pagoda, from which you can see the scenic views of Kalaw. Overnight at hotel in Kalaw.
DAY 04: KALAW – PAN LONE – SHAPIN – LUT PYIN VILLAGES [B/L/-]
Highlights: Total distance about 15 Km; Trekking time: 5 Hours; Native tribe in the village: Pa-O, Danu, Taung Yo. Suggestion: Easy – All Year Round.
After breakfast, drive out from your hotel for 10 minutes to trek starting point. Start trekking by walking with the beautiful view of rice terraces in the valley surrounded by pine forest. You will see native Pa-O villagers working on the farm and the amazing view of the highest mountain with several villages in the area. Visit Pan Lon Village of Pa-O Tribes, where you can learn their unique culture and traditions. Continue the journey for an hour to Sha – Pin village of Danu native tribes passing through the thick pine forest along the way and visit a forest monastery. Rest for a while and enjoy lunch cooked by our chef. Then visit the village of native Danu tribes at the top of the mountain. Continue trekking for about 2 hours with the view of the vast valley. Then our driver will pick up and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Kalaw.
DAY 05: KALAW – PINDAYA – Htut Ni – SEE KYA INN – TAUNG PAW GYI [B/L/-]
Highlights: Total distance: 13 Km; Trekking time: 3 Hours; Native tribe in the village: Palaung & Danu hill tribes. Suggestion: Best time to travel from October to February.
After breakfast, drive out from hotel to trek starting point. Start trekking by walking along the way to Htut Ni village with the view of a beautiful landscape in different crops grown. You can see the lifestyle of Danu and Palaung native hill tribes living on growing tea leaf and other crops as their main business. Proceed to See Kya Inn village which means the village of the misty lake situated in the forested mountain passing through tea leaf plantations. You will be served with traditional home cook lunch which will let you discover a real rural lifestyle there. Continue walking back to Pindaya through the Shaw-Pin and Taung Paw Gyi Village where you can find different crops like tea leave and wheat grown in the surrounded area. Then picked up by car to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Kalaw.
DAY 06: KALAW – TAR YAW – YWA PU – HTI THEIN [B/L/D]
Enjoy the breakfast at your hotel. Before you launch the trek, your guide will arrange in Kalaw to have your bags transported to the next Inle Lake hotel. First, proceed to Tar Yaw Village after the sunrise at 8:00 am. Here, you will be able to explore the lifestyle of the native Palaung tribe, one of the ethnic minorities in Myanmar. Along the way, you will be passing over the mountain hills, paddies fields, flower gardens, chili fields, locals herding their buffalos, and some beautiful viewpoints of the valleys below. Then continue to Ywa Pu Village. A Picnic style lunch will be served in the village. Continue the trekking journey and in the evening time, you will arrive in Hti Thein Village. Enjoy traditional dinner with the local family and overnight at the monastery in Hti Thein Village.
DAY 07: HTI THEIN – NAN YOKE – INDEIN [B/L/-]
After local style breakfast, trekking will begin in the morning to Inle Lake through Nan Yoke – Inn Dein. You will enjoy seeing the ways of life of Danu and Pa O native tribes. Lunch will be served on the way at one of the local family house in Nan Yoke Village. After lunch continues walking to the village of Inn-Dein situated on the western shore of Inle Lake where you can see the beautiful ancient pagoda complex. After visiting Inn-dein pagoda you will be transferred to your hotel in Inle Lake by boat. Along the way, you will see floating villages, floating farms and local fishermen rowing their boat with one leg and dropping the fishing net into the lake. Arriving at the hotel, relax and enjoy the free leisure time at Inle Lake. Overnight at the hotel in Inle Lake.
DAY 08: INLE (HEHO) – RGN DEPARTURE BACK HOME [B/-/-]
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the hotel this morning. Till noon, have leisure in your hotel. Later, check out and proceed to Heho airport for the afternoon flight to Yangon. Arrive in Yangon and enjoy your free time until your international flight departure back home. Hope your tour ends with happy memories!!!
