NGWE SAUNG

Ngwe Saung lies on the Bays of Bengal coast located about 30 miles west of Yangon. It is one of the most pleasant beach resorts in Myanmar for a beach get away. Ngwe Saung is newer than nearby Chaungtha Beach and is established to attract visitors with larger holiday budgets. The visitors tend to prefer Ngwe Saung for its naturally finer and clearer sand with deeper water and palm-fringed beach. The beach stretches for several miles and Ngwe Saung village can be found towards the northern end of the beach. Ngwe Saung Beach is famous for its unique natural attractions of the clear blue-white-crested waves, silvery sand beaches, the scenic and the occasionally rocky shoreline, and the fresh surroundings of tropical rain forests backdrop. Visitors can enjoy sightseeing visit to fishing village a few kilometers where the send ends, an elephant camp at Padaung Village on the road to Pathein, and Lovers Island where you can bet nice views over the sea on the other side. The best time to visit is November to March.
